Hello:
Why is that a wall with specific construciton/priorities set up that it reacts differently (at intersections) with another wall of the same walltype. We're trying to set up standard wall/partition types, but it doesn't seem to want to do what we want it to ... see attachment.
Thanks

I assume you want each layer to clean up with the corresponding layers at intersections? Right now both your stud layer and finish layer are defined as structure layers, and you have no core boundary defined. So Revit has a hard time knowing just how you want it to cleanup at intersections. I've defined a core boundary - the chase between the metal studs - and defined the metal stud layer as a structural layer and the gyp board as a finish layer. Is this what you're after?

Thanks for looking into this ... this is sort of what I want. I guess I'm not understading how Priorities and Cores work and I don't want to beat a dead horse but if I introduce a 2 hr wall, I get equally weird results ... why is that? Are standards for partition types in revit already established online somewhere?
Thanks

If it's only 'sort of' what you want, could you post a graphic example that shows exactly what you want?

It's because that 2 hr wall is defined just like your other walls are - with no differentiation between the function of your wall layers, i.e. all of your layers are defined as structural layers with no core boundary defined. The help file explains the rules for layers joins, I'd start there first.
