Get a Field to read the Layout name?

Does anyone know how to make a field read a layout name?

Does anyone know how to make a field read a layout name?You mean the active layout name? Then you can use CTAB system variable inside the field.

Hello,

You may already have your answer, but I'll answer anyway.
I use the layout name to help populate a title so I use Sheetset, pick the sheet, and then select "SheetTitle". The drawback is that the layout tab has to be in a sheetset. I use it in a map, where the layout tabs don't change that much.

This is my first post.
To replicate the layout name in a field, post a field, go to the "Other" field category, in "Field Names" select "System Variables", and in the "System Variable" select "ctab". Thats it.
