View Full Version : structural members in 9.1. Mind the gap.
I'm trying to build something using the structural steel members in Revit 9.1. I haven't tried this in a while and assumed there were improvements. They are still impossible to work with. How do you get two pieces of steel to but together without buying Revit Structure? There is always this stupid gap. I love Revit but sometimes it is stupid beyond comprehension.

I agree. The 9.1 families do work a little better... that is if they are on a horizontal plane. As soon as you slope them they are difficult to adjust.

There should be separate controls for beam end and extension distance. In plan it should be a blue dot (beam end) and a blue control arrow (beam extension). You should be able to drag the extension arrows to get the beams to butt together.
Thanks, I was trying to drag the blue dot. I wonder what in the world the blue dot is for?
