I have three phases in my Revit project

Exsisting - Before Construction
Construction - Durring Construction
Final - Finished building

I have seperate toposurfaces for each phase, an exsisting surface, a surface for construction that will show temporary construction routes, and a final surface that shows all the finished roads and sidewalks.

I'm running into a problem however. Revit is not letting me intersect sub regions on different toposurface objects that are in different phases. This doesn't make sense to me because they are seperate surfaces. Why would revit care if they intersect?

I did an SR on this for 9.1.
The limitation is real; no overlaps regardless of phasing.
However, you could copy the topo and past to the same location, and assign one topo to one phase and another topo to another phase, and then do your subregions. The limitation is you won't be able to schedule cut and fill quanitities across the topo copies.

Is creating coppies of the topos different from using the graded region? I though the graded region tool did exactly what you describe?
