I'm trying to make a wall type that has a core of 8" cmu with a 2" layer of cultured stone all around. I'm using R08. There is no .pat file for stone in Revit. I downloaded some .pat file from Revit City. How and where do I put them to be able to access them?

You can put them anywhere and then when in revit you create the model pattern you'll click the custom, then import and browse to your pat file. Note you have to add a line of code to your .pat file to make it a model pattern. open the revit.pat file and read it it will tell you what to do.

Hey there,
And, just to add to Scott's most excellent post...
If, after you do it all correctly, it looks like a solid black fill.....just edit the .pat's scale factor.
(Usually larger)
Good Luck
Steve
