Yes type "ALT0216" = "Ø" good luck

Remember, this has to be done from the numeric keypad while holding down the ALT key not from the regular numbers on your keyboard.
You can use the character map utility in Windows to find other special characters in your font set.

Actually the symbol for degrees is "ALT+0176" = "°" (e.g. 30°). "Ø" ("ALT+0216") is a symbol for diameter ;)
