Printing views with Shadows slower in 2008

Is anyone else finding printing views with shadows are taking longer than in 8.1?

Prints that were taking an already slow 20mins are now being pushed out to 30-40mins.

Prints that were taking an already slow 20mins are now being pushed out to 30-40mins.
Have you tried making them Medium Quality? It's faster. I have found that it comes out adequately except in PDFs.

Just gave it a go. It made it a bit faster, but it's still extremely slow.
