View Full Version : HIDE TEXT PROBLEMS

Can anyone help this has been driving me mad for a long time!

When plotting a hidden view my text always loses its text fill and prints just an outline, regardless of the TEXTFILL and HIDETEXT settings.

When I upgraded to ADT2005 I noticed you could exclude text from hide operations by de-selecting the tick box in HLSETTINGS. This worked fine initially and hidden plots displayed text correctly. I have tried it again recently (on two seperate machines) and now I have the original problem back (it seems to ignore the include text from hide operations variable).

Any help would be gratefully received.

Graham.

Hi

Check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS67839 - Settings that control printing of filled text and solid hatches (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2862520&linkID=2475323)

ID: TS74623 - Text fill does not show in plot or plot preview when plotting from paper space (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2893778&linkID=2475323)

Have a good one, Mike

Those links all suggest that it is not possible to have text fill when plotting a hidden view, which I need to do regularly. I always accepted this was the case until I upgraded to 2005 and tried turning the Include Text in Hide Operations off. This appeared to get the result I wanted (a hidden plot with text fill in the same viewport). I’ve now tried it again and its not working now. If I hadn’t had a colleague present at the time id think i had imagined it!

Thanks for your help!

Graham.
