Does the "masking region" tool replace the "solid white" filled region?

Yes - the upgrade converts them to masking regions.

And..it comes in cleanly to Autocad! Wahoo! No black splotches when printing!

I just tried printing w/ Masking Regions for the 1st time & while they're mask-o-licious on the screen they don't get with the printing program. I didn't see any properties that I could adjust here either. So I reverted back to white filled region.
Unless, of course (as has happened once before, I believe) I don't fully get it.

Did you put a masking region in an annotation? If so, there is a bug where masking regions in annotation look fine on screen, but only print right when printing raster. YUCK! But there it is.
Not sure if there might not be some other places where this comes up. Try printing raster and see what happens. Oh, and report back! ;)
Best,
Gordon
