Creating toposurface points from imported picture (jpg)

I've scanned a map which has topography lines on it which I intend to use in my project.
The problem is that when I make my points, the surface covers my lines from the map (imported picture) so that I cant see the lines.

There's probably a setting that puts transparency on the surface but I can't find it.

Again, any advice is appreciated.

Try setting your view to wireframe. (Under the View tab)

Ahhh..When you know the solution its obvious. I even knew the keyboard shortcut for that.
