View Template Mystery?

I set up some view templates for my elevations, corresponding with the correct design option and shadow settings. I am using the view templates dialog under settings, clicking advanced graphics, check to have shadows on, the hitting apply, ok, then ok in the view template dialog box. But when I try to apply the template, or open that view template back up, it will not keep the shadows on, leaving me to have to do it manually. Not to big of deal, but I usually do this so I don't have to be in the view to turn them on to save time....regeneration takes a little while. I've done this in the past and it's worked fine, but now, nothing. I haven't tried re-starting revit or my computer because I'm in the middle of printing, but has anyone else experienced this before?

After I finished printing, I shut REvit down, even opened a new file...still doing the same thing. I even right clicked on each individual view, then turned shadows on one by one, and still did not retain the setting. I have to do it while in the elevation by using the button at the bottom of my screen. Wierd!
