If you enable the section box in a 3D view, the 3D model is correctly clipped against the box, as one would expect. However, the full, unclipped, model is used for prehighlighting when you move the mouse over the view. This is very annoying, because you see full-height walls and columns, which makes the situation quite uncomfortable. Prehighlighting should be clipped just like the displayed model.
