Tried importing our titleblock to modify. I keep getting an error message that says, "Cannot get center of imported geometry in current view to place import.Imported file will not be centered on current view".

But the file info sows up in the VG/import boxes as if the inof were there or is there but does not show up in my view.

Any thoughts?

PS I even just tried JB's new book to do this as well. Very nive graphics and clarity of intent and explanation. We will probably being getting more of these for our Trainees.

Great worlk Guys!

If it's an acad dwg, check to see (in acad) where it's origin is. Sounds like it might be way out in la la land.

Also do a view extents in acad & see if you have any other objects out there.

Typically these types of problems brings out that error message.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it tomorrow. The out of view range is probably the culprit

I had this problem as well. I resolved it by importing the DWG titleblock from paperspace instead of model space.
