unable to delete or edit properties

I was trying to draw some detail drawings when I noticed that the type selector bar is grayed out whenever I try to click on a component to change properties or change materials. I am able to add a component but not letting me change the properties or delete. Is it because two people can't work on the same detail at the same time? I checked worksets and it shows the initials under Borrower.

I have attached a print screen copy showing the grayed out type selector after clicking the "callout section boundary"

It's okay I solved it anyway by restarting REVIT :)
