View Full Version : Pipe labels using expressions in 2k8

Is anyone having trouble using expression in their profile pipe labels,
I am only getting ??? and it doesn't matter what type of info I am trying to get.
the same expression works fine in 2k7.

Any ideal what could be wrong.

Hi Dan,
Have you looked at the Properties of the label and selected the appropriate 'Object' that you are attempting to reference?

I think I remember seeing a post somewhere that talked about the Expressions in Pipes is there, but not working. I think it was on Dana Probert's blog, but I'm not positive.

I am in the middle of creating templates that my office will use for C3D 2008. I have an expression in my invert label style. It is a double nested if statement that removes 1000 from all numbers over 1000m and 900 from all numbers under 900m. My invert will appear as 79.455 instead of 1079.455.

The label itself is broken into 3 pieces: left, decimal and right. These represent the parts of the invert. Only the left part is calculated with the expression. At the time this seemed like the best way to use the expression, but I'm sure the whole number would work too.

For some reason, you have to rewrite your expressions between releases.
