Is there a reason why Revit does not recognize defpoints as a no-plot layer from Autocad? It seems like that *should* transfer over...

There are no noPlot layers in Revit... you'll need to turn them off in Visibility Graphics for each View (or better yet delete them from the DWG first)

Thanks Greg, yes - I know, I was just wondering if there was a reason that Revit didn't inherantly recognize defpoints the way autocad does. Just makes it kind of a pain.

You know... I sent that post and then looked more closely at your User Name and thought "well... he probably already knows that" but oh well! <grin>

I think Revit should have a DEFPOINTS type of detail line AND text.
Oops, wrong forum.... oh well...

:) Thanks Jim - although I figured it was just a typo. Poor Greg is going to regret ever responding to my post.

Yah, I know, I was sort of venting, more than asking a legitimate question here. It just seems like somehow defpoints should automatically come in with its visibility catergory turned off or on some sort of invisible line type. But alas, someday perhaps defpoints will be something that only "old timers" remember anyway.
Thanks guys.
