Heres just a list of grievances which I have been noticing that aren't major ones (ie. not complaining about copy/monitor/content/major software changes):
1. Make the "Halftone" line weight adjustable and customizable. Electrical and mechanical disciplines would be a lot more useful if this could be customizable. Right now we have to do a custom line weight/color on every individual category and it isn't very fun/easy.
2. Let all categories "Maintain Annotation." This is a problem I have recently had where I want to add an annotation to a face based electrical equipment/lighting fixture which is meant to be put on a wall. Since Revit will not allow annotations on the elevation planes, you essentially cannot use annotations with these categories. This is very detrimental to things like emergency exit signs and enclosed switches.
3. Let labels within a family be moved around when in a project. Kind of like attributes in AutoCAD, there are many electrical families which have very specific attributes. Fumbling with shared parameters and tags can be rather annoying, so a set attribute which is only visible when it is set to something would be quite nice. The only thing keeping us from doing this now is that we cannot move that annotation (which would be required) after it is placed in a project.
4. Element is too small on screen (line is too short): Stop it. Seriously. :(
5. Face based preferences: It would be nice to be able to specify what a face based family will "snap" to when it is placed, much like how dimensions do. All too often I try to place something on a wall face but hit a grid line, architectural element and/or wall centerline. Its just kinda annoying to have to "wiggle" your way to the right face.
6. Ability to change home run arrowhead for circuit wiring. Not too big of a deal, but it would be nice to make that a 30 degree arrow rather then a 15.
7. Individual Wire Sizes: It would be great under a circuit properties if the "wire size" parameter was split into 3 different parameters, feeder, neutral and ground. Also, make these parameters have an option to manually change them (as to not "force" the software to make all feeder and circuit sizing decisions. This comes from the fact that many times I will size a branch circuit something different then #12, and therefore will need to specify it next to the feeder home run. However, we usually do not put all 3 wire sizes there, just one. This is why an individual parameter would be good; for tagging.
Thats it for now, but I will add more as I think of/remember/come across more.
