Stair Cut Line

I was wondering if it was possible to move the stair cut line without adjusting the view range of the whole drawing?

Do a plan region around the stair and adjust it's cut plane to get what you want...

Is there any other way of doing it, for example just moving the cut line to where you want to locate it without having to add a plan reigion or changing the view range of the drawing?

There is unfortunately no other way. The other way around would be to use the linework but it's tedious.
The plan region is the way to go

I've tried that and found that it works to a certain extent but is it possible to set the plan region up so that it views half the stair going up from one level but also to view half the stair that is coming up to that level as well?

any help would be appreciated.

Play with plan region's View Depth by giving it negative value.
