Can anyone tell me how to make a dynamic block in 3D, if it´s possible. I want to be able to use blocks to make a "puzzle" of concrete-blocks in a wall. And also to make a table with the blocks listed, also the volumes that can´t be made by the blocks should get listed. But first of all to make a dynamic block in 3d....
I looked through the courses (old and new) but didn´t find really what I was looking for.

Or is it better to make a tool, like window or a door and give them standard sizes, of my concrete-blocks, and place this in the wall...hmmm....

Are you looking to accomplish this with AEC objects or AutoCAD solids?

Well personally i think walls would be the better way to go. Because dynamic blocks are still only 2D, yes you can use 3D objects to make the block but the parameters can only be 2D. So if you are wanting to adjust the height and lenght then it will be impossible unless you change you UCS to right/left etc. Also this could just be my situation but when i create a DB for corner blocks (mass elements) on a building (arrayed vertically) ADT crashed 5/10 times. So im staying clear of 3D DB's for now.
What are you wanting the block to do exactly?
As for the retrieval of the info, im not sure a table could get info about objects within a block, correct me if im wrong.

Steve_Bennett: The way it works best ;-) I just hope that it´s possible to make blocks and to give them information and to put them together...in an easy way...
Mr Cory: The situation is that we have buildings made of blocks (for example size 300x600x2520 mm, 300x300x2120) and I want to make blocks or something with this sizes, so that I can put them together in a model, instead of doing this in my head. What I want to get out is just the quantity of each block, and also all the space that can´t be filled with a block.
hmmm...it´s so clear for me, but to explain it....I don´t know if it´s to understand....

No no i got you now, hmm, you could use a 3D solid or a mass element. The only way i can think of (this early in the morning) would be to use mass elements to model up the walls that you can with the standard block sizes then create another mass elemet that is the total wall and subtract the standard size blocks from the total one, giving you the area that cant be filled with the standard block
