model line to detail line

Is it a way to transform a model line to a detail line ?

Not as such, but its very quick to just select the model line(s) , using the detail line setting to copy detail lines over and then just select and delete the model line(s).

Perhaps do I specify the problem a little.
The difficulty is in Family editor.
The goal is to re-use .DWG blocs (with many lines) into plan views of 3D families.
When I import a .DWG with "only in current view ", the visibily options are those of the symbolics lines (lignes symboliques in french). So they are not visible in other views (like 3D). That's all right !

But when I explode the imported object, all the lines become as model and so are now visible in 3D views.


NOTA : This occures only in family editor. In a project, a "only in current view".DWG is decomposed as details lines.

Don't explode the DWG. Use sketch lines to trace over it. Use the tab key with pick lines to quickly trace a DWG.

Why did I not think of that ?
Seems better.

But is it a way to pick the entire DWG in one shot ?

The tab key will pick all connected linewirk at one go.
