Export Image ERROR

As I can see, the "Export Image" -> "Visible portion of current window" doesn't work properly.
Has this been reported or -even better- fixed?
It seems that I get a much larger area than the one I see in the viewport, making the desired image from 1500X1200 down to 800x600 for example

Thank you gravelin for your answer, it is strange that nobody sais it is working for him... Strange also that it hasn't been writen here before... I was sure that everyone is using the color 3D view with shadows...

At my office we typically make sure th image is large (meaning that the actual printable size is pretty big) and then we print it through a pdf writer of some sort. That easily jumps into photoshop and then you're off and running. We're able to get shade, shadows, and such also.

a work around is to place the view on a sheet and export the JPG from this sheet.
If you do so, all is right.
