View Full Version : Revit 2011 fixes temp hide behaviour

A somewhat minor issue: in 9.1, temp hide allowed you to pick a line and only its subcategory would hide. In this latest build of 2008, you can permanently hide subcategories, but using "Hide Category" on a line hides all lines! I'd like the 9.1 functionality back...

All in favour?

Poll added -- and if you care enough about it send a comment to Autodesk at this link:

Good to see the Hide in View is now working properly though. I would still like to see a Hide Sub-Category option for both temporary and permanent hides. This way we can turn either all Categories or Sub-Categories off for Linework.

Good news on this topic! 2011 restores the old 9.1 behaviour of only hiding the subcategory that the line belongs to. So if you temp hide a line by category, only that line style gets hidden -- all the other line styles stay visible.

Thanks to the Factory so much for fixing this!

Wes ! I´ll bow in the dust, and take my fake Pope hat off....
How on heavens earth could you remember a post THAT old ?

Neat to have the feature "back", but jezz... if it happend more than ½ an hour back, i´m pretty sure that i´d have forgotten.... and WHAT was the topic of this thread again ?

OK, no more  for me :Puffy:

Heh - I STARTED it. And it's always annoyed me. So today, expecting to be annoyed -- I wasn't! And I remembered that I'd written this post, way back when.

And I just had to share.

Little cheer for the guys at the Lab!!
This was truly irritating, so I'm glad they reversed it finally.
