Stairs detail

Do you use a legend or a callout to create stairs detail. Is there a tool I don't know for that?

I usually use section cuts in front and/or to the side of the stair without actually cutting the element. Then I'll use sections and call-outs on those views to take the details to a finer resolution as required.
