Schedules by Type

Hello... I have been reading up on schedules but can't seem to find an answer to my problem yet...

When I am scheduling windows/doors I would like Column 1 to be the "type" of window/door (ie Type Mark) and column 2 to list all the windows/doors that are that type by number (ie Mark)...

EG:

Type___Numbers
1_____W01, W02, W03, W04, W05, W23, W67
2_____W06, W07, W08, W09, W10, W24, W25

Am I making sense? Is there a way of doing this or a sensible work around?

PS I am doing the graphical part of the schedule by using a callout for each window/door Type - isn't the 'hide annotation in view' a marvellous tool!

The only way I can think of is to use the sorting/grouping options to group by Type Mark. This won't get you the formatting you want but would separate the different types.
