Problem with Setup Drawing

I`ve trying to get automatic sections with Setup View and Setup Drawing commands. Sometimes I get them but sometimes not. Until now I've thought this mistake was a hardware problem or random problem.
The mistake happens during the Setup Drawing command on AutoCAD 2000 release.
Today, at the first time, teaching this command to about 15 students, I observed that the command always fails whit the same place (computer and user). All the computers have the same configuration, so I did the command correctly on these places and the command fails again.
A student (where the command run) got the drawing from other (where the command failed)and get the correct result. I don`t know what is happening.

Somebody already had this problem?
Somebody knows if the AutoCAD has some variable that can to control this? Wich?
Is there solution or is this a autocad`s bug?

Could you please give a step-by-step workflow of the actual procedure you're carrying out in the attempt to create "Automatic Sections", especially the commands used (full command names would greatly help)

Are you carrying out this workflow in AutoCAD 2000 or a different Version/Autodesk_Prodcut ?

Thanks your help.
I'm not using any Autodesk product, it`s a simple AutoCAD 2000.
The full actual procedure is very long. I will need more time to write the process in english. If you observed that isn`t my oficial language and sorry my mistakes. Ok!! :-) :-) :-)
The commands are SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW. The both are used in Layout (old Paper Space) to get 2D plans from a 3D model.
