If you were to have overlapping views on a sheet.... yes there is a reason for this case.....
How can you determine which one is the one on top without reloading?

why the white text? There are lots of cases where you might need to overlap views. I remember doing it one time on a site plan to get my grading to look correct.

If you are talking about being able to determine which one is selected then just look at your status line (bottom left hand corner of the Revit window). It will let you know what object is selected.

If you're not talking about that then I'm not sure what you're asking :?

The views overlap - I would like to determine which one is on top.

I'm guessing you want to control the draw order of the views, unfortunately I don't think it's possible other than removing & replacing the views. The last view placed on the sheet will be on top.
