Profile sketch is empty!

I keep getting this error when I try to apply a parameter to a profile sketch for a generic model family.

I have a sweep path set and I can draw a sketch but can't apply any parameters to the sketch lines.

Anyone know what the heck it means?? It's got me.

You usually get that warning when you try to close an empty profile sketch. Did you try to alter family parameters during sketching? You can usually sketch lines, dimension them and label the dimensions.

I'd usually prefer to create reference lines, dimension them and use them as constraints for sketch lines, but that's 'old school'.
