Just "discovered" the use of the <<new window>> command. It allows multiple perspectives of a single view. This is something I used all the time in ACAD & Microstation and, until now, had believed the only way to do this was to <<duplicate>> a view. This one is temporary and doesn't get tucked into the <<project browser>>.

Note: I always feel like a putz throwing seemingly "obvious" stuff like this onto the NG. That was until I read the recent tip about using the <<->> on the 10-key to separate feet and inches. I remember finding this out on my first Revit tutorial. I guess any trick is easy -- read "obvious" -- once you know how it works.
