Has anyone notiched any problems with there fonts once you plot to DWF and then send it to an outside printhouse? I have noticed my fonts get real loose and messy looking. Is there any magic settings that I need to know about?

Not exeriencing the same exact thing as you but......
If I print to dwf using the dwf driver it will convert correctly each time. If use the the export to 2d dwf command it will not always work. This was on 9.1 and since I have moved to 10 I have not noticed anything. Further, if you have a printing house that is working with you, you might want to check to ensure what they are using to read and print. My local office will not print out dwf or rvt. Everything has to be pdf or dwg! Hence, yet another reason that I bought my own printer.

The outside printers need to have any fonts you are using in the DWF installed on their computer. Arial is the safest, after that you need to send them any unusual fonts you have used.

One more reason why DWF is our In-House format of choice, and PDF is still how things leave the building. DWF just doesn't cut it for a lot of clients and consultants. Too much effort for the "extras" that they don't really want, need or know how to use anyway.

The problem is their software that converts the dwf, we have in-house repro so I deal with this problem all the time.
We use Oce plotters/software and they cannot keep their software up to date with the ever changing dwf sdk, they finally updated for 9.1 the same time 2008 came out.
We've had all sorts of problems with fonts shifting and changing justification, we just don't use dwfs for repro anymore, had to go back to ol reliable pdfs :(

also, make sure your print house isn't using Oce Tools or Reprodesk to facilitate their plotting. That will jack it up every time...
