Does anyone know of any search engines available that can index r14, 2000 and 2004 format AutoCAD files?

We currently use an engine called Hummingbird but it only indexes r14 files.

Thanks,

can you be more specific on indexing??

What are you trying to accomplish?

Sure.
I am looking for a search engine that will read the contents of the file (text, attributes, etc.) and dump it to a searchable database.
Hummingbird will read r14 files just fine. However, most of us in the real world are using 2000 or 2004.

Here is the "BIG" picture. We currently use eRoom by Documentum for storing our drawing files. eRoom uses Hummingbird as it's search engine. When we upload a drawing or document, it reads the file and creates a searchable index.

Here is a link to Hummingbirds site.

I'm exploring alternatives if Hummingbird does not plan to add this as an option.
