Only possible on import.... Re-import if possible.

I've got a similar problem so I've used this old thread.

I've imported some metric hatch patterns that I created for Autocad, they are in the revit metric.pat file.
When I import it as a custom pattern the units box is greyed and show inches, this happens on the first and subsequent imports.
Is it possible to import a metric scale or do I have to fudge the import scale?

Thanks,

have you define you hatches as metric or inches?

eg.

To create a pattern file, you use this format:

Units

;%UNITS=INCH
Header

*pattern-name, [optional description]
Type declaration:

;%TYPE=MODEL
Pattern descriptors:

angle, x-origin, y-origin, shift, spacing

I've just added them to the standard "revit metric.pat" file, but that doesn't actually declare the units, maybe thats the problem.

That's it, the metric pattern file as supplied doesn't have the metric declaration, maybe its an oversight at the factory.

Thanks,
Kim

maybe its an oversight at the factory

That's because once you've loaded them they stay in the file.
