I have a schedule split in 2 parts that I intend to place on 2 sheets and print. When I place the schedule, both parts come in to each sheet. Is there a way to hide the part I don't want as it is affecting the printing area of the each sheet.

Not exactly.
Since a schedule is just a view of modeled data, it can't be split up between multiple sheets. You can place the same schedule on multiple sheets, but if you format the schedule to fit on one sheet, the formats are duplicated on the other sheets it is on.
What you need to do is create two schedules, or duplicate the schedule you've already got. Then, you need to create a filter to get rid of the stuff you don't want on Sheet 1 in Schedule 1, and vice versa for Schedule 2 on Sheet 2. (Don't do it in this order!)
If you're splitting it by floor for instance, edit the view properties of the schedule. Add the "Level" field to the Schedule. Then, in the "Filters" tab select "Level" as the filtering parameter, select equals as the operand, and select Level 1 as the value. Click Ok until you get back to the schedule view. Then, right click on the Level column and select "hide field." Rename the schedule to something like "Level 1 door schedule." Now, duplicate the schedule you've just fiddled with, open the view properties again, and change the value "Level 1" to "Level 2" and rename the schedule to "Level 2 door schedule" or the like.
Now, you can place them on different sheets, format them separately, etc...
Obviously, if "Level" isn't your parameter, pick the one you're using to divide the schedule into parts. If you aren't dividing by anything other than where it fits on the page, try and divide it by something that already has a parameter (like level) or create your own project parameter and filter by that instead. If you need any more help, post a little more detail about your issue, and I can get more specific in return.
Good luck!

Thanks! That's great!
I've copied the schedule and filtered each one using Door no (Mark) is 'greater than' and 'less than' the number I want on each sheet. It's worked!

Happy to help any time!
Glad it worked out for you. Sometimes Revit thinks about things differently than we're used to, and it just takes time to figure out how that is. Once you've got it down, you can do almost anything with the program...
