I am running AutoCad LT2004. When ever I copy and paste some text using the Mtext editor from one text entity to another, the pasted text shows up incorrectly as txt.shx (style name STANDARD for me). All text is architxt.shx (style name ARCH for me). If I simply go back into the Mtext editor using the ddedit comand, change nothing, then click "OK" and exit, the pasted text changes to appear correctly as architxt.shx. Has anyone else had this problem? I have never had it with any other versions that we have had at our company (i.e. LT 97, LT98, LT 2000). I think it may be a bug in this version, but it is extremely annoying.

Also, the tabbing feature in Mtext that they added does not alway work correctly. They seem to take two steps forward and one step back with each new version.

Thanks

Blaine

Hi Blaine

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the AutoCAD General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

I may have the same problem. When I use the font archquik.shx it always shows up as txt.shx in the mtext window but when I click ok and return to acad it displays as it should. This is annoying but I can usually ignore it. I hope this is the same problem u are descibing above.
