The out-of-box 3D orbit command in Revit 9.1 appears to always have it's point of axis in the middle of the building, instead of the center of your screen or, even better yet, where you click the mouse. So when I'm zoomed in on a storefront, and try to rotate the building a little, it swings out of view and I have to zoom out, find where I am, and zoom back in. Is there any way to change this option???

click on an element to highlight it before you rotate...

Revit's camera will then centre the rotation on the selection

The default {3D} view will always behave this way and you need to do what William suggests. In camera views however Revit will remain focused on whatever you pointed the camer at to begin with.
