Underlay to duplicated plan views

If you duplicate plan views (usually to create 'existing' and 'new construction' phase views)

and you want to see an underlay in a duplicated plan view...

you are only offered the original plans as underlays, not the duplicated ones.

Unless I'm missing something....

Anyone know if there is a reason for this?

Unless I am mistaken, it is not the "Plans" that show up as underlay choices, it is the levels. The original plan is a level.
