Inventor 11 SP3 now available

Some people havehad problems once SP3 has been loaded, so, my advice, create a restore point prior to loading this service pack.

Yup. I installed SP3. After the install Inventor would no longer open. It would get to the splash screen and then crash every time. Nice 'update' Autodesk. Thanks.

My fix was found when I uninstalled SP3 using the windows "add/remove programs" feature found in the windows control panel.

The Autodesk Inventor forum is all abuzz with others having this same experience I did with SP3. I will never again attempt to install 'updates', 'patches' or 'fixes' from Autodesk.

Does anyone know if the above issues with SP3 for Inventor 11 have been resolved?

It is impossible to tell from the downloads area of the Autodesk support site.

It appears that all virus scan software, plus all MS Office products (including Outlook and Outlook Express) must be shut down prior to running the SP3 update. After installing SP3, run and then close each of your Office products, then run Inventor.

Thats a rough set of instructions..... any word on if Autodesk is working to fix that?
