Filled REgions & Masking

I have just upgraded to 2008 architecture & have come across a problem with the filled regions

When i have an elevation with a filled region set to opaque & shadows on, it does not display the shadows. if i turn the fill to transparent it shows the shadows.

The online help says to use masking regions for this function of masking out 3d objects - but i want to use a non white solid pattern

Any workaround or help would be appreciated

hmmm i've had the same problem too dwane, upgraded the same time as you, and havent had time to test a solution out for this yet. Looking forward to an answer ....
