I had just completed a door schedule for a four storey building. I split the schedule into four parts as 100s for 1st floor, 200s for 2nd floor and so forth. What I want to do now is to be able to sort them so that it actually says first level or second level etc. on its corresponding set. I tried adding LEVEL in the list but it did not work. So I just slapped a text on each set of schedule in the sheet where it appeared, and if I accidentally moved the schedule these texts would be floating in the sheet. I'm sure there is a way to do this. Can anyone help me figure this out?

How did you add the LEVEL?
What do you mean when you say it "didn't work"?
Level is certainly a legitimate field in a door schedule. I've used it many times. You need to select it in the "Fields" tab and click on the "Add -->" button.
If you've got your schedule split into four parts, after you've added the Level field, you can then go to the Filter tab & pick Level - - equals - - First Floor, or what ever you've named your Levels

In the schedule proporties, set your sorting and grouping to sort by the level first, and have header and blank line checked. For the "then by" sort by mark. Since you probably dont need the levels to be in the actual schedule you can go to the formatting tab and tell the levels to be a hidden field since you likely only wanted it for the headers.
From what you asked for this should give you the desired results.
