hi,
i understand that a tolerance distance can be set for elements.
can it be done in Revit Architecture. or is it available in Revit MEP aor Revit Structure?
let me elaborate with an example.
if we have a air pipe running just 2" below a beam, does it show up in a inteference check?
is there a way we set the minimum clearance value? so that we can keep all the minimum clearances intact?
can we achieve this in Revit architecture for architectural components?
can we also have this retained for links between Revit Architecture, Revit MEP and Revit Structure?

What you can do is model the clearance as another element in the family (Solid). Associate a yes\no parameter for visibility.
Turn it on, run collision detection. When you're done, turn it off.

can we then put a reference plane and associate it to the extents of the model?
or is it that the inteference is detected for only model elements or can a reference be set?

As far as i know, it only checks for geometry

we can work that way for loadable families...but the system families that would be involved would still have a problem...
how can we deal with that?

you can do the same thing for in-place family. Create the geometry to run collision with and assign the yes\no

yes, u are right. it can work with most components.
but its still an issue if we will have to deal with the simple things like a wall, stair...etc..
maybe if this option is considered by the programming team and they could add a parameter for tolerance, it would be so much more simpler.
and can we run this inteference check between Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP? when we have a model from one linked into another.
how do we deal with the i nteference between a beam and an AC duct?

Yes you can run interference between disciplines

how do we do it? do we have to add the parameters?
could you please guide.
