hi,
i am trying to import an ADT file into Revit and its causing a lot of errors.
by what i understand, the problem is because of xref's, blocks and many other such issues.we get an error when importing, and there is a loss of certain amount if data.
even if that is accepted, the revit file gets corrupt.and we are not able to open up the file itself, or the program.
has anybody else faced this problem?
how do we deal with the situation? any suggestions?

how are you importing your adt model through dwg or ifc? there were few threads about this before suggesting to use ifc import to get usable data from adt model.

i am converting the file to autocad and importing, and yet the problem persists.
how do i convert the autocad/ADT file to IFC format?
even when i copy paste the elements to a new file, the error remains. how do we know what the bug in Autocad/ADT is?

There is quite a good white-paper on the Revit Structure site regarding importing ADT (AutoCAD Architecture) to Revit
http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/interoperability_between_revit_structure_and_autocad_architecture.pdf

Hopefully this will be some help

this problem got resolved when the latest build:20070607_1700 was installed.
this error being corrected has however not been mentioned anywhere.
any ones read about this being fixed anywhere?
