2008 - transfering legends [Archive]

I haven't yet installed 2008, but I am planning on getting around to it soon. Can you transfer legend views from one file to another in 08? I know you cannot do it in 9.1 and it is a real pain in the ars.

I dont think this is possible except via DWG file or cut & paste.

Nope, still not possible. The only way is to copy the contents and paste them into another legend view.

It would be nice if Revit could determine what's being used in the Legend. If it's only detail elements, then make it shareable...

We use legends in a variety of ways and being able to "share" like a drafting view would be VERY beneficial.

My 2 cents...

My 2 cents...

Then I think I may change our office template and make many of the standard legend views that ger used in every project to drafting views. That way as they get updated they can easily be transfered.
