Symbolic Lines in Shaft Openings

Hello:

I have a tapering building that incremenally steps over a series of floors. So just to give a little context with every floor plan, the view range was adjusted to include the entire building below that particular floor. What I'm finding is that the symbolic lines in the shafts, although they start and stop mid-way up the building, shows completely through the entire building even if the shaft opening isn't in that particular floor.

Am I doing this wrong?

I've attached a simple example of what I'm trying to do.

Try changing the bottom view range back to the associated level (e.g. Level 4) and setting the view depth to Level 1 or unlimited. When set to Level 1 you will need to give it a negative offset to see the floor (-1' - 0" is fine) as the floor actually starts at the level but its structure is below that.
