I have some nasty contraints that are moving 3 walls together rather than allowing me to move just 1 to align it with 1 of the others... How can I expose the culprits?

I have tried 'Activate Dimensions' which seems to work sometimes but not in this case....!! :-x

Help....!?

Elrond

PS Obviously I thought it was a Good Idea to constrin something in this area before...!

Use the Move tool, be sure to check the Disjoin box in the Options Bar, and move the wall. The constraints will be removed.

I guess you mean uncheck the 'constrain' box...? Anyway it worked a treat, done in a flash! Thank you very much Scott!

There should be a few check boxes for the Move tool in the options bar:

Constrain, Disjoin, Copy, and Multiple.

Constrain will 'lock' moves to 90 degree angles. (Constrain probably is not a good name for this option because "Constrains" are elements locked together by dimension or association.)
Disjoin will break associations and locks to other objects.
Copy, well it copies!
Multiple creates multiple copies of objects when copy is selected.
So you should have checked this Disjoin box...which it sounds like may have already been checked, because it worked!

Actually it hadn't worked. Looked OK but moved some other items I discovered this morning. So thank you for the more thorough explanation. I think 'Constraints' should read 'ortho' surely!

Tried it again now with 'unjoin' checked and it seems to have happened correctly this time. Whew!
