View Full Version : Surface Patterns and Exporting to Image (was 2 Revit questions)

First I'm having trouble locating the "new?" method of turning
surface patterns off to speed up my Model. In 9.1 in was in VG
and I just accessed and turned off the surface pattern of the elements.
Couldn't find anything on this in RAC 2008 Help Docs. Any help would be appreciated.

Second and maybe this is an error on my model or machine, but I can't
produce a second "export to image" of any view. The first one works fine
but if I adjust anything (trying to capture the best angle for a 3D detail)
I don't get that view to export again. Have shutdown and reopened the
model and my computer. Has anyone else heard of this?
Maybe it's all horked up because I'm in here on Saturday and
should be out riding instead.
If anyone is around with thoughts on either of these would
appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks

Surface patterns are still controlled in the VG but instead of accessing patterns in each sub-category it is now another column in the main portion of the dialogue. (see image)
As for question 2, are you trying to export a rendered image?

Not rendered, just a fairly large area at a relatively high resolution to .jpg.
As it turns out, apparently too much for some part of the system to handle.
I moved the view closer in and exported at lower res and all is acceptable,
if not well on that matter.
And thanks for pointing out that I could benefit from a closer look at the new dialog. (something I'm constantly urging my users to do)

I appreciate the help!!
