View Full Version : Break not projecting...

When I was working with 11, I was able to take a long part, insert the view into a drawing and apply a break. When I projected this shortened view, the break and break lines would carry over into the projected view, even isometrics. Now I'm using 2008, and when I try to project a broken view, it transfers over full-size. Anyone have any ideas? Is this supposed to happen? Am I missing something?

Can you post an example. I just tried it and it worked as you described but there appears to be another bug.
In r11 if you wanted to stretch the part back out some you could drag on of the break lines back over the other one to reveal that much more of the part. Doesn't work in r2008.

I can't post an example, sorry, proprietary disclosure reasons. I'll draw up a 'fake' for an example as soon as I can, though.

Ok, I have noticed something that I think may be the problem. I'm projecting the view off of a projected view, which I don't think I'm supposed to be doing, and that's what's making the break disappear...

Some additional information if you can wade through it checking the additional links within the thread. I think these problems are only related to your problem - but it looks like Autodesk needs to pay some attention to this tool.
