I have a relatively modest 3D file that had a few section planes in it (volume boundaries and some were overlapping). After having problems with slow regeneration (up to 10 minutes) I narrowed it down to a couple of the sectionplanes - once they were deleted the file worked fine.
For the last few weeks I have had only one sectionplane in the file with no problems until today - out to 20 min+ regens! Deleting the sectionplane brought the file back to normal.
I had used the sectionplane earlier in the day to recreate a 2d view but at the time it was not live and was on a frozen layer.
Anyone else had similar problems or could point to a solution?
Purging and auditing the file makes no difference.
The file does have a few flatshot blocks with dimensions and text etc but all well clear of the sectionplane.
I guess this raises another question - How do users use flatshot and 2d sections - keep in the same file or export to a separate 2d layout file?
Would be interested in peoples comments.
Cheers
