HOW TO DELETE ROOM TAG TYPES

i have a room tag i use with about three different types, ie. without area, with area and so on. i've made several other types that work the same way but are named differently. i really just want to purge out the unwanted types.
i can delete them in the family but when i load it in the types remain in the browser.

On the File menu choose Purge Unused. You can purge out unwanted families from here. The first thing I suggest is clicking the 'Check None' button, otherwise you will purge all unused families (not good)

If you know what they are called and just want to get rid of those tags you can navigate through the family browser under annotation symbols and delete it right there. It is however possible to delete objects that are in use this way though, so make sure you know what you are deleting.
