We are working on a large project with another architectural firm. The Revit model has been split and linked back together. We update each other at the end of every week. The model looks great and there has been no issues in that regard. However sheets that are created by our firm cannot be seen be them and vise versa. Are we missing something in the settings or is there no way for the sheets to automatically come across when we update each other? If so does anyone have any suggestions on the best work around for solving this problem? Thanks.

Linking is designed to share model information, not sheets at the moment. The assumption is that you'd want all your sheets in one file, and the linked model functions like an X-ref. You don't pull in sheets from an X-ref. In this case, you're using a feature in an unintended way. Though I personally agree with you about sheets coming over, it isn't there yet.
Since you're sharing your file with them already, just have them open your file directly to see the sheets. If only one of your companies is actually issuing drawings, have them keep ALL the sheets in their file, and just open their file to create the sheets you are working on.
That's your best bet at the moment...
