I am working on a residence to be built in Maui. To show the open air feeling, I would like the bi fold doors to be more open, is this a type or instance parameter?

i have made my swing doors have an instance parameter to control the amount of "open" i would image that you could to the same with the bi-folds.

I cant remember who posted it originally but the trick is to make a detail component to represent the swing, then embed it in your door family. it is easier to control the swing of a detail line then 3d geometry.

sure. you just have to make the detail component family work. that is the trick. the principal remains the same, but the execution will be a little different
