Here is my collection of UK single flush doors, if anyone is interested.

They are based on Jeld-Wen (John Carr) 2004 catalogue.

The following doors are in the file (based on the standard Revit UK_Single-Flush template). The sizes refer to the door leaf size:
610 x 1981
686 x 1981
762 x 1981
838 x 1981
926 x 1981 Disabled access

Each door size also comes as standard doors (35mm door leaf), Fire Door 30 minutes (44mm door leaf) and Fire Door 60 minutes (54mm door leaf + larger frame size)

The overall structural width has been taken from their 2004 catalogue (with some telephone support, so please check with Jeld-Wen on overall structural sizes, as I’ve had 2 different replies to 5 telephone conversations)

I was hoping to add another text parameter to the doors that would state the ‘clear’ opening width (between door stop and the door leaf at 90 degrees), but I haven’t been able to work this out yet.

If you have any corrections I’d appreciate it if you could let me know.

Damian,

Can this not be achieved as:

Clear opening = Opening -(2* structural tolerance)-(2*tolerance)-(2* frame width) -stop width - panel thickness

or something very similar?

Thank's Damo.

Probably (if I knew how to, still going through various tutorials whilst trying to get some work done) :) I'll come back to this when I have some time.

I think that this does what you are looking for.

I have set up a calculated family parameter called Clear opening width and this is a shared parameter so that it can be both scheduled and tagged. I haven't tested it but you may find you need to open the file, open the family dialog, and edit the parameter to recreate the shared parameter on your local machine.

I have assumed a stop depth of 12 mm but this is defined in the family dialog too, though not as a shared parameter and I haven't altered to model to make the stops controlled by this parameter as I didn't want to unpick any constraints and have to reestablish them.

Thanks for the UK content Damo. On opening widths I have Jeld wen Tech Spec document No BC_T_0001 Issue F 23/03/04 I think from their web site which gives structural opening as door width +60mm and Door set unit width as Door width +54mm
